typography
Typography is the arrangement of type, categorized into typefaces and then further divided into fonts. All fonts can be classified as either serif, sans serif, slab serif, script, blackletter, mono, hand or decorative. Kerning and tracking are important parts of typography, referring to the spacing of individual characters and the spacing of groups of characters, respectively. In the example that I created below, I used the font American Typewriter to create a rustic personality and give a sense of a personal touch.

The very well known logo below is a successful use of typography that has gained years of attention and fame. Vogue's wordmark logo uses a serif font that is associated with elegance and style. The block glyphs are bold and able to last for years without losing relevance.
